Setting up the router Mikrotik
Initial configuration of the router
- Connect the incoming Briz cable to the first socket of the router and connect the router to the computer with the cable.
- Go to the page http://192.168.88.1. In the Login field, write admin and click the Login button. Then, at the top right, switch to the Quick Set.
- 1. We select the Home AP mode.
2. Setting up an Internet connection:
- In Address Acquisition, we put the point PPPoE.
- In the PPPoE User and PPPoE Password fields, specify the login and password from the Internet agreement.
3. Setting up a wireless network:
- In the Network Name field, enter the name of your WiFi network (whatever you think of).
- In the Country field, specify ukraine.
- In the WiFi Password field, specify the WiFi password (it does not have to match the password for Internet access).
4. Check the UPnP checkbox.
5. In the Password and Confirm Password fields, specify the password for accessing the router.
6. We save the settings with the Apply Configuration button.
7. Next, you need to tell the technical support the value from the MAC address field. Or you can change the MAC address yourself in your personal account. - 1. Switch to WebFig mode (top left)
2. On the left in the vertical menu, select IP. In the list that appears, select DHCP Client.
3. Click the Add New button.
- 1. On the page that opens, put a check mark in the Enabled fields.
2. We save the settings with the OK button.
- 1. Select on the left in the IP column - Firewall.
2. On the NAT tab.
3. Click the Add New button.
- 1. Out. Interface select ether1.
2. Action select masquerade.
3. We save the settings with the OK button.
- Click the Add New button again.
1. Out. Interface select pppoe-out1.
2. Action select masquerade.
3. We save the settings with the OK button.
The router configuration is complete.
